Good afternoon! We will be staying at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando - Disney Springs Area before switching to Beach Club Villas. We will have 2 mobility scooters. Is there a way to transfer the scooters between hotels? Thanks!

    Hey there, Jerome!

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. Your upcoming stay sounds like the best of both worlds, starting at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando, one of Walt Disney World’s Official Hotels: Disney Springs Area, and then transitioning to Disney’s Beach Club Villas for a stay in the heart of the magic! I love the Disney Springs Hotels for their convenient location, and staying near Disney Springs means you’ll have easy access to incredible dining, shopping, and entertainment before moving to the magic of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.

Let’s dive right in about transferring your mobility scooters between resorts. To my knowledge and through my research, Disney does not provide a service to transfer Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) or mobility scooters from one resort to another. Bell Services at Disney Resorts Collection hotels can transfer luggage only between Disney Resorts, but unfortunately, they cannot transport mobility devices. While Disney doesn’t offer a solution, I’d be happy to share some suggestions to help make the transition as smooth as possible!

    1. Rideshare Option: If someone in your travel party can take a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, they could bring all your luggage from DoubleTree to Disney’s Beach Club Villa after checking out and leave it with Bell Services until your room is ready. Meanwhile, those using mobility scooters could enjoy some time at Disney Springs before taking the complimentary Disney bus transportation to your new resort once your room becomes available.
    2. Scooter Rental Adjustment: If you rented your mobility scooters from a third-party vendor, check to see if they offer resort transfer services for a fee. If they don’t, you might consider splitting your rental into two separate reservations—one for your stay at DoubleTree and another for Beach Club Villas. That way, the vendor can handle pickup and drop-off at each location, and your party can use a rideshare service to head to Beach Club, where fresh scooters will be waiting for you upon arrival.

I hope this points you in the right direction, Jerome! If you have any other questions as you plan your Disney adventure, don’t hesitate to send another my way. I’d love to help!

    Ka-Chow!
