Welcome to planDisney, Ashley, and thank you for your family's service. I also live in the Sunshine State; isn't it fabulous to be Mickey's neighbor? You'll be spending time at the theme parks soon, so let's look at how
Lightning Lane Multi Pass will work during your
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I plan to use the new Lightning Lane passes on an upcoming visit with my Annual Pass, so I'm happy to do some research for both of us! I'll also stay off-property, so we are in a similar situation.
A helpful Cast Member clarified that since our admission types are
not date-based and we're not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, we must
purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass each morning at the three-day mark. So, if your first day in the park is September 15, you could purchase at 7:00 AM EST on September 12. You'll do the same for each day you plan to visit. It looks like we'll both be setting our alarms during our trips!
Here's a booking strategy to keep in mind. You can choose three experiences during the initial selection process but only one from the
high-demand group. You can select a fourth experience as soon as you scan in at the first one. My tip is to book one experience early in the day because your fourth experience can be from any group.
Ashley, I think the new system will seem much simpler once we've used it hands-on. It sounds a bit involved on paper, but I have faith, trust, and pixie dust that we'll do fine. Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
