Where do I find the Magic Band ID?

Hiya, Michele! Thanks for stopping by planDisney as you prepare for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It sounds like you're setting up a MagicBand in your account, so let's bibbidi-bobbidi-boo this!

All MagicBands, from the original to the MagicBand+, will have a 12-digit ID number printed on the underside of the puck. Since my eyes aren't what they used to be, my tip is to take a photo with your mobile device so you can zoom in to read it easily. Good lighting helps, too!

On my MagicBand+, I also have a tiny QR code under the ID number. I scanned it with my phone to be linked to the setup page in my account. Just follow the instructions to link your band, and you'll be ready for the magic to begin. If you need additional help, contact the My Disney Experience/MagicBand team.

If you're looking for the ID number of a band already linked, you can find it online or in your mobile app under the "My MagicBands and Cards" section of your account. Michele, my account tells me I have 29 bands linked to my account! I'm considering getting a new one for my visit this fall, but I may need to rethink that!

The new MagicBand+ is rechargeable, but if you forget, it will still function as your theme park ticket, Disney Resort hotel key, and more. The rechargeable features are mainly the fun lights and haptics. I'm always delighted when my band alerts me to something exciting happening around me!

Michele, I hope I've helped you locate the information you need to put the magic in your band! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits
