Hello, you used to be able to book hotels 500 days out. Is this no longer the case? I can't book January 2024 and it's almost may.

    Welcome to planDisney, Erik!

It looks like you're going to begin the New Year in style! There's nothing like welcoming in the New Year at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Did you know that the Christmas decorations will still be up when you arrive? Make sure you snap lots of photos so that you can bring those precious memories home with you.

Erik, we used to be able to make room-only reservations up to 499 days in advance. However, Disney recently changed this policy. I know that Guests from the UK are still able to book room-only reservations 499 days in advance. However, for domestic-based Guests (including our friends from Canada) vacation packages and room-only reservations are now released at the same time. At this time, we're not able to book for 2024. My guess is that vacation packages and room-only reservations for 2024 will be released in late spring 2023. Around that time, I'd suggest checking out the Walt Disney World Resort website and Disney Parks Blog for any exciting announcements. Once those dates are released, you can go ahead and book your room.

Until then, why not catch up on the planDisney podcast? There are tons of episodes that will surely whet your appetite for your next Disney adventure.

I hope that's helpful, Erik! Thanks so much for letting me help plan your great, big, beautiful tomorrow.
