Greetings Stephanie!
Thanks for cruising by planDisney with a great question! You are going to enjoy such a wonderful vacation experience with back-to-back cruises on Disney Cruise Line and I'm happy to see that you're already thinking about getting all of your ducks (Donald Ducks that is!) in a row for your trip!
Stephanie, to travel with your minor grandson without his parents or legal guardians, you must have a completed
Authorization For Minor to Travel which can be found on the Disney Cruise Line website. This form does not need to be notarized, only signed by his parents / legal guardians to sail! I did check with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member since you are doing back-to-back cruises and he shared that you only need one form for both cruises, but you will want to be sure you list both cruise dates on the form.
While you're on the ship, there are so many things to enjoy together including Disney's
unique rotational dining and
fantastic entertainment. Once you are on the ship, you can check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the latest list of
activities and
character experiences each day. The
pools are always a popular choice with my little ones who love splashing in the sunshine and watching their favorite Disney movies on Funnel Vision!
There is also a special space just for your grandson -
Disney's Oceaneer Club! My kids can't get enough of all of the games, interactive activities, and FUN in this space. While he's having a great time enjoying a world designed just for him, it's a perfect opportunity for you to explore the adult-only areas of the ship such as
Quiet Cove Pool, or grab an appointment for a
spa treatment.
Stephanie, I hope this information is helpful as you prepare to make magical memories at sea with your grandson! If you have any other vacation planning questions, just set your heading to planDisney again - we're all ears!
Happy Sailing!
Kristi
