Hey there, Evelyn!
Welcome to planDisney! As I write this, the window for new
Magic Key Pass sales has closed, so I'm sorry that we were "unavoidably detained by pranky spirits" and did not get back to you in time. I also see that you'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort very soon and I'm really excited for you! Whether or not you were able to obtain a Magic Key, I'll formulate this response just in case this situation arises again in the future.
I was able to speak to a Cast Member just before this last sales window opened and asked about upgrading regular Disneyland Resort
Theme Park Tickets to a Magic Key and here is what I learned. Unused tickets may be upgraded to a Magic Key but only in person at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths. Partially used tickets may be
upgraded within the Disneyland Mobile App as instructed. From what I understand, there was quite a crowd that showed up at the Ticket Booths on the day that the sales window began! The demand for new Magic Key Passes is truly extraordinary!
Whether or not you were able to get a Magic Key, I hope you'll be able to visit the Disneyland Resort to see all the exciting changes this year! The
Pixar Place Hotel will be officially opening on January 30, 2024. Their
Great Maple Modern American Eatery has already been serving tasty American comfort food to Guests of the Resort! In addition, we have expanded
Haunted Mansion Grounds and
Tiana's Bayou Adventure to look forward to this year!
Fun Fact: the soon to be Pixar Place Hotel has gone through a number of changes. It was built in 1984 to support the Olympics as the Emerald and then the Pan Pacific Hotel. It became the
Disneyland Pacific Hotel when Disney purchased it, then Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in 2000.
Evelyn, I hope that you have a truly magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please drop by again if you need anything further from us and we'd love to hear from you again. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
