Can I upgrade my annual pass for myself and my husband at a guest service kiosk, even if he's not there?

Hey there, Katherine! I am always happy to see questions about renewing a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass because it means you enjoy the magic of being a Passholder as much as I do.

One of the many things I love about it is the freedom it provides. We can visit a theme park the day we arrive, even for only a few hours. We can take a break in the middle of the day to cool off, relax and prepare to close down the parks at night. Or, like my quick trip to Florida next week, I can hop into Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to pick up the Pumbaa and Timon Passholder magnet. (It's available through September 22, so be sure to stop by Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures to get yours.) Yes, I could do many of these things before, but with an Annual Pass, it's included and not extra. It's amazing!

In most cases, you can renew your Annual Pass for yourself and your spouse without his presence. The only time I can think of would be if you needed to provide proof of Florida residency or if you had just purchased them through Disney Vacation Club and needed to activate them.

You can renew your Annual Pass online, on the My Disney Experience app, by calling the V.I.Passholder line, or in person at any ticket center at the entrance to the theme parks or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.

I am a big fan of renewing on the app. It's just convenient. To do this, open the main menu on the app (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen). Select "My Tickets & Passes." Under your Annual Pass, you should see the option to renew if you are in your renewal window (starting 60 days before to 30 days after your current pass expires).

If you plan to use multiple forms of payment, like a Disney Gift Card to cover some of the cost and a credit card for the rest, you will need to call or go to a ticket center. They can easily process your renewal and apply your payments.

I hope you have safe travels to the Most Magical Place on Earth and get your Annual Passes sorted for a trip that is practically perfect in every way!

If I misinterpreted your question, please feel free to ask me directly so we can continue this conversation and get you the information you need.
