Hello Ellen,
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for popping in to discuss bringing your grandchildren to
Walt Disney World. My parents are also residents of the Sunshine State, and they love to take advantage of special offers exclusively for Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors. Let's dive in!
Florida Resident theme park tickets and Annual Passes are meant to be used by those who live in or own property in Florida. Guests 18 and older are required to show
proof of residency to activate and redeem these special tickets. For Florida Resident Annual Passes, you might also be asked to show evidence that your grandchildren reside with you in Florida. You can purchase the passes you hope to use for your grandchildren. Just remember that the ticketing Cast Member has the final word on activation. Be prepared to upgrade to the Disney Incredi-Pass if your grandchildren are not eligible for resident passes.
I hope this makes sense, Ellen. Thanks again for sending your question to us. Please reach out in the future if there is anything else we can do to make your Walt Disney World visits even more magical! We'd love to help you craft the perfect theme park itinerary for your little Mouseketeers.
2025 will be an incredible year in the Disney Parks, and I'm thrilled you'll be part of the excitement. Stay tuned to
our Instagram account and the
Disney Parks Blog so you don't miss a thing.
Cheers,
Betsy
