Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my family's favorite attractions, and I remember the disappointment we had one trip when it was closed for refurbishment. It's a classic attraction that I've enjoyed since I was a kid, nothing is better than walking into the attraction, feeling the cool air, and smelling the water!
The
hours & events calendar will be a great resource for your trip planning. As of now, the calendar only extends to mid-June. There is not an official reopening date for Pirates of the Caribbean at the current moment, but I would keep my eye on the
attraction page for an official reopening date.
I know this would not take the place of experiencing the actual attraction, but you could explore making a
dining reservation at
Blue Bayou Restaurant. Not only does the restaurant have an exceptional menu, but the ambiance of overlooking the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is unmatched! You also can check the
Disneyland app for when Captain Jack Sparrow will be out greeting Guests. Open up the app, and click the location icon on the bottom navigation bar, and tap "Characters" to see which characters are appearing and at what time.
