We have an upcoming Disney World trip in February and are planning a split stay between Port Orleans French Quarter and Animal Kingdom Lodge. If we buy a refillable mug at French Quarter, will we be able to use it when we change resorts?

Bonjour and Jambo, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney!

I’ve gotta say, your plan sounds fantastic. Port Orleans- French Quarter and Animal Kingdom Lodge are both amazing resorts. You’ll be able to get Mickey-shaped beignets during the first half of your trip and Zebra Domes during the second half. You can’t beat that combination!

Refillable mugs are a great option when you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. With these mugs, you can enjoy unlimited refills on coffee, tea, and fountain drinks at your resort. Or if you’re like my kids you can mix each pop and dare each other to drink it as many times as you like! The RFID chip inside the mug—which enables your unlimited refills—will work for 14 days after it is activated. So you will be all set as long as your second resort stay is within those 14 days.

At Port Orleans- French Quarter you can use your refillable mug at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and The Mara when you hop over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. They work at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so be sure to bring it along if you decide to enjoy the quick service options at another resort.

Jennifer, I hope this thirst-quenching info helps with your vacation planning! Don’t hesitate to come back if any other questions come to mind. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Cheers!
