Is Typhoon Lagoon better for adults or children? I have a person in my group whom is blind and has to go down slides with another person. Which park has the most options for that?

    Hello Stephany,

Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping in with this question about the water parks. Choosing the right one is very important to make a big splash. Let’s figure out which park is best for you!

When it comes to visiting Walt Disney World in 2025, all guests staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel get a free visit to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on check-in day. That’s right Stephany, no charge. Just a day to relax and not have to worry about much. Both parks have lazy rivers, which may allow you to be very close or holding on to the person in your group that is vision impaired. These are very slow moving and will give you an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the river. If you are visiting for some excitement, there are three different attractions at Typhoon Lagoon where two or more guests ride together. Gang Plank Falls is the family whitewater ride in an oversize innertube that holds four guests. Crush ‘n’ Gusher is the closest you will get to a roller coaster in an innertube. This attraction is a water coaster and features three fruit themed waterslides for up to three riders. Miss Adventure Falls is a family friendly attraction where you board a raft for up to four guests. If you are looking for the most attractions where more than one guest can board a tube, Typhoon Lagoon is my recommendation.

Blizzard Beach has Cross Country Creek, which is also a lazy river where you may be able to stay very close. Teamboat Springs is a whitewater raft style for your family of up to five riders. The rest of the attractions are slides where you will be by yourself. If you have little ones, there is an actual slides here for them called Tikes Peak which is 48 inches and under. Little ones also love Ski Patrol Training Camp where they can show off their skills. There’s a zip line for little ones under 5 feet tall called Fahrenheit Drops that kids fall in love with. Cool Runners is an inner tube flanked by snow drifts. Don’t forget you are in a blizzard after all.

I hope this information is helpful for you during your visit and that you and your group have a wonderful time. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.com.

    See ya real soon,
