Hello Lucy! Welcome to planDisney! It's lovely to have you here. I understand how important this question is for you, so I want to start by letting you know that the
Disability Access Service (DAS) will be undergoing some changes starting May 19, 2024. Rest assured, the Walt Disney World Resort still remains committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment and accessible experiences for all Guests.
As you might know, the DAS service is designed to accommodate only those Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time. At this moment, this service isn't available at the water parks, but I have some great tips that should make your day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach a total breeze!
The best strategy for a successful day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach is to arrive early. By doing so, you can beat the crowds and enjoy shorter wait times for all the major attractions. This early start also allows you to plan your day better, ensuring you have time to relax at the wave pools, indulge in delicious food, and sip on refreshing drinks.
Before your visit, I recommend checking out the park map. This will help you plan your day, identify must-see attractions, and find shaded spots for rest. It's also a great opportunity to make a list of all the fantastic food you want to try. And here's a bonus: some food spots offer
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. This convenient service allows you to order your meals in advance, saving you from waiting in long lines and maximizing your time at the park.
I hope these tips help, Lucy! I'm positive you'll have an unforgettable adventure in May, and I can't wait to hear all about it. If you have any other questions,
just let me know. I'm always happy to help a friend out!
Cheers
Nilson
