Do we get any type of Lightening Lane benefit by staying at a Disney Resort?

Welcome to planDisney, Cindy! We’re so happy to see you here!

Your magical trip is just around the corner, and staying at a Disney Resort Hotel has some fantastic perks, especially when it comes to Lightning Lanes. As a Disney Resort Guest, you can purchase and book Lightning Lane passes starting 7 days before your check-in date, and your booking window opens at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. That’s a big advantage over other Guests, who can book only 3 days before their park visit. So, be sure to set that early alarm tomorrow! Just make sure everyone in your party has valid theme park admission.

Walt Disney World now offers Single Pass and Multi Pass options for Lightning Lanes. With a Single Pass, you can pay per ride for specific popular attractions, such as TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. With Multi Pass you can pre-select up to three experiences and arrival windows ahead of your visit. After redeeming your first Multi Pass experience, you can book additional attractions one at a time, subject to availability. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you can even select Multi Pass experiences in other parks after riding your first selection!

Here’s a planDisney tip: Connect everyone in your group as Family & Friends in the My Disney Experience app ahead of time and have a list of your must-do attractions ready to go. Being prepared will make the process as smooth as Mickey’s smile!

I hope this helps you plan a magical vacation, Cindy! Be sure to give my pal Mickey a big wave while you’re there!

    See ya real soon,
