I have two rooms booked for my family of 4. Am I able to request connecting rooms? Or is this something that has to be done at time of booking. Thank you!

    Hiya Poppy,

Welcome back to planDisney! It means so much to us that you continue to visit us for help planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

Poppy, I love the idea of having two rooms for a family of four. My little one is only 16 months old, but my Prince Charming is already talking about the day we can give her a room to herself during our visits. No matter which of the Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels you are staying at Poppy, you can request to have connecting rooms if available. There are two ways to do this in advance of your visit. The first is through Online Check-In in My Disney Experience, and the second is over the phone. If it were me, I would do it over the phone. A Cast Member in the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations department will be able to note your request and do their best to accommodate your family. While requests are not guaranteed, Cast Members are incredible, and if they can make magic happen, they certainly will! Once you arrive at your resort hotel, you can also make the same request in person at the front desk if you prefer that option instead.

I hope this was helpful, Poppy. As you start finalizing your plans for your upcoming visit, don’t forget that your reservation window for advanced dining reservations and Enchanting Extras is coming up soon. As a Guest of Walt Disney World Resort, you can make reservations for your entire stay (up to 10 days) when your window opens. This is my favorite benefit of being a resort Guest, and it enables me to secure dining reservations for all of my must-do itinerary items.

    Happy Planning,
