Hi Barbara!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your question today. I love answering guest questions here because I not only get to share my best tips but I always seem to learn something new in the process, too! Let's discuss all the details so you and your husband are ready for your magical visit this October.
I'm glad to hear you've already been able to create a
Disney MagicMobile pass so your tickets are accessible in your Apple Wallet. I love checking out the pass styles and customizing my MagicMobile pass to suit my mood or the occasion/season for my next visit. Whether you want to celebrate your love for a specific park or even a favorite snack there's likely an adorable option awaiting.
The pass in your Apple Wallet can only be used to access your own tickets. You'll need to create a separate MagicMobile pass for your husband's linked tickets. You can do this by opening your
My Disney Experience Mobile App and navigating to the feature menu (≡) at the bottom right of the screen. From there select the option for Disney MagicMobile and click the "+" at the top right corner of your screen. You should see the option to create a pass for eligible members on your Family & Friends list. Place a checkmark next to their name, change the pass style to suit your husband's preference, and then click the button to "Add to Apple Wallet." Once complete, the pass should be generated and stored in your iPhone's wallet. You can switch between the saved passes by selecting yours and swiping right or left to access the others you've saved.
My family uses
MagicBand+ when we visit the parks, but I keep my pass stored in my Apple Wallet so I can show my Annual Pass and Disney Vacation Club affiliations as needed. I initially tried to create a MagicMobile for my daughter from her linked tickets which are visible in the "Tickets and Passes" section of my app, but was only successful once I switched over to the Disney MagicMobile tab. Once you've successfully linked your husband's tickets, be sure to head to Disney MagicMobile to create his pass even if you see a link below his actual ticket.
If your husband is also an iPhone user you can send him his newly created pass to store on his device. To do so head back to the Disney MagicMobile section of your app and then click the link for "Select Passes to Share." Follow the prompts to share his pass via iMessage. Once he receives it he can save it to his phone's wallet. You can share yours as well if you like so you'll have access to your tickets on both devices. This can come in handy if you misplace your phone or it runs out of battery.
One last tip- if your husband has his own My Disney Experience Account you may not be able to create a pass for him on your device. I'm able to see my husband's linked tickets for our upcoming visit, but since he has his own account, he needed to create his own Disney MagicMobile pass on his device. Your husband can follow the same steps I shared above from his own My Disney Experience Mobile App to complete the process.
I hope this helps Barbara. If you need additional assistance you can always
reach out to a friendly Cast Member by phone or via online chat for troubleshooting. In the meantime please come back and see us again with more planning questions as you prepare for your trip. We're always glad to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
