Hi Annabel,
Welcome to planDisney! I am excited to hear that you will be traveling from overseas to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. You and your family are going to have such a fabulous time. Right before you arrive,
EPCOT's International Food and Wine Festival begins. This is one of the best events of the year because you get to travel around the world eating and drinking delicacies from countries near and far without ever leaving EPCOT. It is a must-do during your vacation!
While I completely understand your father wanting to share his
Walt Disney World theme park tickets to ensure they are used in full, tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Once an individual has redeemed the first day of their theme park ticket, they are the only person who can use the rest of the days on that ticket. As a result, your father can not share his unused ticket days with your friend. The good news is that if your friend is from the Orlando area, there are discounts on tickets for Florida residents they could take advantage of.
Since your dad will not be joining you for all of the theme park fun each day, make sure he is aware of some of the other great activities he can participate in while at Disney World. The Disney Magic Ticket offered to UK residents also includes access to activities that provide a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. One of my favorite ways to spend a leisurely day at Disney World is by getting an early tee time at
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course and playing a round of golf. If you want something that takes a little less skill, you can also play miniature golf at
Disney's Winter Summerland or
Disney's Fantasia Gardens miniature golf courses. If you really want to unwind for the day, there is nothing better than a day spent relaxing by your Disney Resort hotel pool!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
