Hi Amy,
Welcome to planDisney! The
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is one of the coolest venues to host a sporting event. While events are going on there is so much to see if you are into sports. I would check out the
event calendar during your visit to see if there are any sporting matches you might want to watch. I don't see anything currently on the schedule for the date of your visit but that could change. There is not a whole lot to see or do there when no events or scheduled but luckily there are a lot of other activities to do outside the theme parks.
On our last day at Disney World, we love to spend some time running around at
Disney Springs. The shopping there is next level and you can pick up any souvenirs you may have forgotten to snag while you were enjoying the theme parks. There are also a
ton of options for breakfast or lunch before you head over to the airport. Our go-to quick restaurant at Disney Springs is
The Polite Pig for some killer barbeque. If you have a lot of time on your hands, there are also some great activities for everyone in your crew to participate in.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes has bowling and pool tables plus great food and drinks to munch on while you play. There is also a fabulous movie theater where you can chill and watch the latest releases.
If you have already made your way over to Disney Springs during your trip, another great location to hang out for a bit is
Disney's BoardWalk. There are also great shopping and dining locations here in addition to some unique activities. I love renting surrey bikes to cruise around the BoardWalk or heading over to
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf Course for a little competition.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
