I am trying to plan a VERY last minute trip to DisneyWorld this holiday season with my family (husband, 2 kids, MIL, SIL)! I have not visited DisneyWorld with my kids yet so I want this to be special - is it too late?

    Hiya, pal!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to hear you're working to plan a practically perfect "First Visit" trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm honored by the opportunity to help you plan a magical and memorable getaway for your family.

It sounds like you're hoping to visit the Walt Disney World Resort within the next few weeks - how exciting! I'm happy to share that, at the time of writing, many of the wonderful Disney Resort hotels on property still have availability remaining for the dates of your planned vacation. New Year's Eve is an incredibly popular time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, so theme park ticket availability currently looks limited for December 31, 2024. However, the dates surrounding the holiday appear to have full theme park reservation availability at this time! I would encourage you to book your stay as a vacation package that includes a Disney Resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets.

Guests can begin securing dining and Enchanting Extras Collection reservations up to 60 days in advance, so you're already within your booking window! If you can, sit down with your family and discuss your "must-do" dining experiences, and try to get some Table-Service dining reservations booked as soon as possible. You can search for dining availability on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. These experiences are sure to add pixie dust to a most memorable vacation!

I hope this information helps you get the planning party started, and I wish you an incredibly magical holiday season this year. If you have any additional questions before or during your enchanting escape, you can always revisit us here at planDisney! We're all ears.

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
