trying to book trip using my points

Hi Paul, welcome home and welcome to planDisney! I hope that you are enjoying your Disney Vacation Club membership as much as my family loves ours. We just wrapped up a trip last month for spring break, and we can’t wait for our next trip this fall, especially since events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the International Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing! Now, let’s dive into your question on how you can use your Vacation Points to book a DVC stay!

There’s two main ways to book a trip using your Vacation Points. First, you can log in to the DVC website (if you do not yet have an account set up for your DVC membership, you’ll want to talk to Member Services to get one created). Once logged in, you’ll find some input fields on the home page for your desired travel dates, room type, and DVC Resorts you are interested in. After selecting “Check Availability” you’ll be taken to a new page that shows the available Resorts that meet your search criteria. After selecting the room and Resort that matches your criteria, you’ll be asked to input information such as guest information. You’ll also be asked to confirm the DVC contract or contracts that you want to use to secure the reservation.

Alternatively, you can also contact Member Services. After following the prompts for the Disney destination you would like to visit and verifying your Membership, a live DVC Cast Member can help you search for availability for your desired travel dates, DVC Resort, and room type.

Paul, I noticed you indicated an arrival date of early June. Given how close we are to that timeframe, it may be unlikely that there will be availability at a DVC Resort. If that’s the case, don’t fret! You can always create a waitlist request for your desired stay. If the villa that you requested becomes available, DVC will automatically fulfill that waitlist and complete the reservation on your behalf!

Paul, I hope this information is helpful for you as you plan out an upcoming DVC stay. If you have any further questions about using your DVC membership, feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!

    Your pal,
