I have a trip booked for November 21-25 and tried to book a breakfast at storytellers cafe and am finding there are literally no openings for the entire time we are in Disneyland. Is this possible? It scares me for crowds.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Marc!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're gearing up for a magical November trip, and I’m so glad you stopped by with your question about the Storyteller’s Cafe- my favorite restaurant at The Happiest Place On Earth! My husband can’t get enough of the chilaquiles, and anytime I see an eggs benedict buffet, I'm a happy Mouseketeer. And let’s be honest, any time you can get your hands on Mickey-shaped waffles is a win!

Now, let’s dive into your question so we can get you all set for that visit!

I totally get how frustrating it can be to not see any openings for your travel dates. I’ve been there too. Right now, Storytellers Cafe is celebrating the season with Mickey’s Autumn Adventures. They have special menu items and adorable seasonal character outfits. If this year follows the same pattern as last year, there’s a good chance they’ll kick off their winter holiday celebration by the end of November.

While I can’t guarantee anything about crowd sizes, I can share a little magic from my own experience. Last year, I met up with my pal, Panelist Elaine P., for Christmas Eve brunch at Storyteller’s. She even managed to enjoy a smooth morning exploring both parks before brunch! The holiday weeks might feel busy, but most Magic Key passes have blockout days at that time, and with reservations keeping things in check you could find the parks to be more manageable than expected.

So here’s what I suggest: channel your inner Dory and just keep swimming back to that reservations page. With a little persistence, you might just catch the perfect breakfast spot! And if you’re not already following the official Disneyland Instagram Account, it’s worth a peek—you might spot announcements about new character experiences at Storytellers Cafe.

I hope this helps, Marc! Thanks again for bringing your question my way. I’m sending all my best pixie dust to you as you continue to plan, so come on back if you have any more questions. I’m rooting for ya!

You’ve got a friend in me,
