Hi Lewis, welcome to planDisney!
Some people start planning Walt Disney World Resort vacations months in advance, while others plan last-minute getaways. All roads lead to Cinderella Castle, as long as there's theme park reservation availability.
Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (Disney band,
Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. As long as there's availability, you can book or modify a theme park reservation any time before entering a theme park. Earlier this month, I changed a theme park reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios to EPCOT at 6:45 a.m. so I could join the Virtual Queue for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 7:00 a.m. I could not have made a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park that day, though, because there was no availability.
You've earned a gold star for consulting the
theme park reservation availability calendar before asking your question, Lewis. As of right now, all theme parks are available for all dates in April and May. This is subject to change at any time so I do recommend purchasing your theme park tickets and making your theme park reservations as soon as you are able. As a cherished UK-based Guest, you can purchase tickets on
disneyworld.disney.go.com as soon as you arrive in the United States. If you purchase a 1-day, 1 park per day ticket, a theme park reservation will be made for you. For all other ticket lengths and types, you must use the
Disney Park Pass system to make your theme park reservations after purchasing your tickets.
Tickets can also be purchased at ticket windows located outside the entrance to each theme park, though I'd hate to see you miss a moment of magic waiting in line, especially during the
Disney100 Celebration!
Safe travels next week, Lewis, and please don't hesitate to
reach out with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
