Hi Chris, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I’d be happy to help figure out what rooms can be booked for your upcoming trip.
I checked the
Disney World website and currently, it doesn’t look like there’s availability at any of the All-Star Resorts (
Sports,
Music, or
Movies) during the Summit Championship weekend. However, I’d recommend periodically checking back in case something pops up. People are always changing their plans and I’ve sometimes been able to book a room that was previously unavailable.
Now, let's talk backup options. There are a few other resort hotels that are within a few miles of the All-Star Resorts—
Animal Kingdom Lodge,
Dolphin Hotel,
Swan Hotel,
Swan Reserve,
Coronado Springs,
Art of Animation, and
Pop Century. It might be worth checking the availability at those resort hotels and booking one for now.
I know schedules can be busy and unpredictable during cheer events, so you might find it helpful to place a grocery order from a nearby supermarket. My family likes to stock up on breakfast and snack items so we have things on hand to quickly grab during our stay. A couple of things to note. First, the resorts can’t accept age-restricted items, like alcohol, on your behalf so you’ll need to be at the resort if your order includes those items. Second, know that there’s a small fee for deliveries received by
Bell Services.
You can also save some time with
mobile food ordering in the
My Disney Experience app. This is available at many eateries at both the theme parks and resort hotels. Sometimes I’ll place an order while I’m on the bus back to my resort hotel and I'll press the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button when I get there. It's a great way to save time standing in line, but I also love that you can see pictures of the food, making it easier to narrow down what you want.
I'm wishing on a star that a room opens up for you at All-Star Resorts! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
