What is travel time from Wilderness lodge to animal kingdom park

    Hi Kim,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about navigating around the Walt Disney World resort.

Travel time between Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom is about 15 to 20 minutes, whether you drive yourself or ride on one of the complimentary Walt Disney World buses. If you take the bus from the single bus stop at Wilderness Lodge, you will be dropped near the entrance of the theme park. Buses run about every 20 minutes, so you will want to factor that into your time estimate.

I think the Animal Kingdom parking lot is the easiest of the four to navigate. If you drive, depending on the time you arrive, you may be a little further out in an area served by a tram, so again, it may take 15 minutes or so to reach the entrance once you park your car.

If you are using a Minnie Van or rideshare service, you will be dropped off right at the entrance.

When I need to arrive at a specific time -- for a dining reservation, a Lightning Lane or an Enchanting Extras experience -- I always like to allow at least an hour for travel time. I'd much rather arrive early than to be rushed or stressed during my relaxing vacation.

Here's another tip, Kim: While you are at Walt Disney World, you can use the "Get Directions" function of the My Disney Experience Mobile App to help you estimate current travel times and find the most efficient routes, whether you are walking, driving or using Disney Transportation.

Happy planning! And please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as your vacation nears.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
