Hi Julia,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about a celebratory visit to Topolino's Terrace, one of the most scenic dining experiences at Walt Disney World.
In fact, I think the
Riviera Resort is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection. I love its sophisticated ambiance of the French Riviera and its proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, easily accessible by the Skyliner.
At dinner service,
Topolino's Terrace, like most other Disney restaurants with a la carte menus, does not have a minimum purchase requirement. So you are welcome to order a full three-course meal or a few appetizers to share or dessert and drinks.
The exceptions to the no-minimum required practice would be the all-you-care-to-enjoy buffets and the prix fixe meals, including the daily character breakfast at Topolino's. At those dining experiences, each person pays the stated price, regardless of how much or how little they choose to consume.
So feel free to make a dinner reservation for Topolino's Terrace for your celebration with the intention of foregoing a full meal.
Your other option at Topolino's is to grab a spot in the lounge area, which is first-come, first-served seating. My husband and I have sat at a high-top there for dessert and a cocktail. We got the same view and ambiance as in the main restaurant. No reservations are required, though you take a chance that the lounge will be full, especially if it is close to fireworks time.
Walt Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate milestones and accomplishments. Make sure you stop by a Guest Relations location for a "Celebration" button your graduate can wear during their visit so that other guests and cast members can congratulate them.
I hope that helps, Julia. Please let us know if you have other questions as you near the time to make your dining reservations 60 days before your arrival.
Enjoy,
Wilma
