Trader Sam’s is one of my favorite spots for a bit of tropical whimsy at the
Happiest Place on Earth. There is nothing better than ending a long park day with a good snack and a tiki beverage.
The good news is that you can still enjoy the
entire menu from the walk-up window outside Trader Sam’s. The bad news is that the inside seating area is currently closed for refurbishment. I’m also sorry to say that there isn’t any firm date for when it will reopen, so there are no reservations to be had either. Bummer! I’d definitely keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for an update when there is more info, or the
Disneyland Website’s Trader Sam’s page.
Hakuna Matata, Jeff. The outdoor area is still open and an awesome spot to hang. So grab a HippopatoMai-Tai and kick back with your pals. Start snacking on the Tempura-Battered Green Beans before you order the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum. I know it’s hard to wait, but the Uh-Oa inside will be well worth it. Keep checking back for reservations, and be ready to grab one quickly. They’ll go fast!
Jeff, you’re arriving at the parks during a very exciting time. Did you know that the new mission for
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run opens just a couple of days before your arrival? Awesome timing! I hope you and your Padawans all get to become one with the force on the new version of this beloved attraction. I hope you have an excellent trip and smooth planning.
