Hi Emily, welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your service! It looks like your magical visit is coming up in just a few more days. So I’d be happy to chat about discounted tickets for eligible military service members.
Currently, the largest discounts can be found on the
multi-day Military Salute Tickets, but you can still buy discounted single-day tickets at a military base or through
Shades of Green. These one-day tickets are about 10% cheaper than regular ticket prices. Since the price can fluctuate, Shades of Green recommends checking the ticket price on the Disney World website for the specific date that you plan to visit and then deducting 10% to get an estimate of the discounted price.
According to the Shades of Green website, the one-day non-promotional tickets are available to service members who qualify for Military Promotional tickets (active or retired members of the U.S. military), as well as veterans under the Purple Heart and Disabled Veteran Equal Access Act of 2018, and to DoD civilians (active and retired). For any questions on eligibility or the different ticket types, you can give the Shades of Green Attraction Tickets Sales Office a call.
I consider Spring to be the most beautiful time of year at Disney World, so it really is the practically perfect time to visit. I just came back from Disney, and EPCOT was covered in colorful plants for the
International Flower & Garden Festival! If you’re planning to go to EPCOT, be sure to look for the different
Disney character topiaries and sample the delicious small plates at the
Outdoor Kitchens. My must-have drink is always the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at the Pineapple Promenade booth. One of the other really cool parts of the festival is the
Garden Rocks Concert Series that’s included with park admission!
I hope you have a magical day at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
