Welcome to planDisney, Angie! Comparing ticket types and totals is a cinch when you use the Walt Disney World website or My Disney Experience app. I will tell you how to compare prices for tickets in both places, so let's get started!
To select tickets on the Disney World website, start on the homepage and hover over the "Tickets & Parks" tab at the top. When the drop-down menu appears, select
"Buy Theme Park Tickets." Scroll to "Theme Park Ticket" on the next page and click "Continue." Choose a 4 day ticket, then click the arrows next to the name of the month to advance the calendar to January. The ticket eligibility window will appear once you select your arrival date, and pricing for the various ticket types will display below the calendar. Pricing and availability are subject to change, so what you see now could be different next time you check.
In the
My Disney Experience app, tap the plus sign in the bottom tool bar, then choose "Buy Tickets and Passes." Choose "Theme Park Tickets" and then tap 4 for the number of days. Swipe across the calendar to advance to January, then tap your arrival date. From there you can scroll to see pricing for a base ticket or a ticket with the Park Hopper Option.
One final tip: you can check the
Special Offers page as your vacation gets closer to see if there are any deals to be had on tickets. Right now there are offers for
Cool Kids' Summer, so there may be something new once winter rolls around.
That should be all the information you need in order to compare ticket prices for your visit, Angie! Come back and see us if there are other vacation planning questions we can answer for you.
Stay magical,
Scott
