Hi Nick!
Welcome to
planDisney, where real Disney Guests just like you are here to answer your trip planning questions with our expert tips, tricks, and advice! I’m glad you’ve stopped by with this question as I have good news for you!
I too have tickets for the
Disneyland Resort that expired on 12/16/2021. If you are like me, these tickets were purchased before the pandemic and were for a trip we had to cancel. The expiration date on those tickets was extended. The expiration extension meant that we were able to use those tickets on any day through 12/16/21, even if the ticket price for that day we wished to visit was more expensive than the ticket we paid for.
Now that we are past the expiration date for those tickets, not to worry. This doesn’t mean the tickets are completely useless. In most cases, you can
use the value paid on wholly unused tickets toward the purchase of new tickets. While we were able to visit last month and use some of our tickets, I too have two tickets remaining. When you go to reschedule your visit, you’ll need to
call ticketing. They will be able to credit you the value you paid for the expired tickets to be used toward the purchase of new tickets at the same or higher price point. Since I am generally a glass-half-full person, I think this is the perfect excuse to plan a return trip to the Disneyland Resort! I kind of have to plan a visit, right?
I hope this information is helpful, Nick. And I hope you can reschedule your visit to the Disneyland Resort very soon! Pro Tip: In addition to your tickets, you will also need a complimentary
theme park reservation to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort. Many days book several weeks in advance. So when you decide to return, make sure you plan well in advance so you don’t run into difficulty booking the days you want to visit.
