Hi there, I thought I read somewhere that you have to pay extra to stay in the park late at night? Is this right? I want to stay at Galaxy's Edge until it gets dark so that I can enjoy the ambience, but I'm not sure if I can. Any advice?

    Hi Neil,

    Welcome back to planDisney

Staying late at a theme park and waiting til the crowds leave is my favourite way to end the day. There is something extra-magical about soaking up the quiet in the park when you’re one of the last ones there!

Great news for you, Neil, there is no fee to stay late in the parks. While enjoying your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll notice that the crowds thin out in the last hour the park is open. This is due to a lot of Guests heading to Fantasmic! at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. You’ve got a great idea in staying in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after the park closes - seeing the glowing lights of the Millennium Falcon and First Order Cargo in the streets of the Planet Batuu is something else!

While many Guests would love to extend their park visit much past park closing, you’ll find that Cast Members will kindly let them know that the park is closed and to start making their way to the front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are often Cast Members lined up along Hollywood Boulevard who will wave and wish you a good night.

I hope you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy an empty Batuu with your family, Neil. Be sure to take lots of photos so you can revisit the memories and share with friends once home.

May the Force be with you,
    Candace
