Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    Thinking about a trip sometime during next Christmas season. Family of 4 likes the big kid rides and character dining. What kind of crowds can we expect? Do you have a recommendation for a WDW resort, either deluxe or moderate. Thank you, Lori

    From the Saturday before Christmas next year (December 18th), and all through New Year's Day you will find that the crowd levels are the most busy that they are all year long. They can get practically unmanageable on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve Day.

    If you can visit a bit earlier in the month, however, you will find extremely low crowds, but still get to enjoy all the wonderful holiday decor and ambiance.

    As for resorts, at the holiday time I would opt for Wilderness Lodge (Deluxe) or Port Orleans - Riverside (Moderate). I like the ambiance and features of both.
