Thinking of now booking a good neighbour hotel package via Disneyland.com so can purchase tickets in package together Which hotel do you recommend? Like a bit of luxury too.. the Westin Anaheim?

    Hey there, Nicola!

Welcome again to planDisney! You're a tourist after my own heart. Whenever I travel with my family, I like to select deluxe hotels if possible and some of my fondest memories are of trips to the Walt Disney World Resort where we got to stay in one of their Deluxe properties. Even though we spent the majority of our time in the Parks, it's nice to know that you have such a nice place to return at the end of each day.

There are a variety of Good Neighbor Hotels that cater to a variety of budgets and tastes. If you'd like to select only from the most luxurious, you can use the Hotel Category filter and select "Superior." That will streamline your choices nicely so it's not nearly so overwhelming! I have not been able to try all of these, but I can at least go over some of the ones with which I have some experience.

    • The Westin Anaheim Resort: this is the newest hotel of the ones mentioned here and also the closest to the Disneyland Resort. If you get a room facing the front, you can literally see the back of Pixar Pier! I have not stayed here but all the comments I have heard have been extremely positive. If you want to feel like you're staying at a luxurious deluxe Resort, this is your place.
    • The Viv Hotel: this property was rebranded from the Radisson Blu Anaheim in 2020 and is very nice. It feels like an upscale hotel on a smaller property. You also get some nice views from their rooftop restaurant (Top of the V). It will be the furthest from the Disneyland Resort of these properties.
    • JW Marriott Anaheim Resort: I've never had a bad experience at a Marriott Resort and this hotel is no exception. It is a very nice property and offers a Shuttle to the Disneyland Resort for a fee.
    • Hilton Anaheim: this is a large Resort that covers a lot of ground but has plenty to offer. It is adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center, so is popular with convention goers. A Shuttle is also offered here for a fee.

You can't go wrong with any of these Resorts, but my personal pick would be the Westin. Each time I walk by, I am impressed by what I see and you'll be close to the Parks and the Downtown Disney District!

I hope that all this information was helpful in your decision making, Nicola. As always, if you need anything further, don't hesitate to call on us! We're happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
