Surf's up, Anna! I'm thrilled you paddled by planDisney on your way to lap up the fun at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Are you brave enough to go for a run down the
Crush 'n' Gusher? I'm typically fearless, but this takes my breath away.
If you are concerned about Typhoon Lagoon being open tomorrow, I am guessing you have Hurricane Melissa on your mind. I appreciate your question. I was at
Walt Disney World during Hurricane Matthew and hung out at
Port Orleans - French Quarter as the storm wreaked havoc on our vacation plans. The weather forecast for the Orlando area looks positively amazing. The high is forecast at 72 degrees, with winds a bit brisker than usual. There's supposed to be only a 1% chance of rain, but in Orlando, I would still pack a poncho if I were headed to the theme parks.
Weather aside, I don't see any indication that would lead me to believe there will be any interruption to the regular schedule (opening at 10:00 a.m. and closing at 6:00 p.m.).
In my experience, like with Hurricane Matthew, when there is a significant closure to one of the Disney destinations, a notice will appear when you open the
My Disney Experience app. If you have a ticket or other reservations on your account, you could also receive text, email or pop-up messages in the app from Disney. You can also check the social channels like
Disney Parks on Facebook.
Anna, my heart is breaking for the people of Jamaica and for friends who are desperately awaiting news from loved ones who live there.
I hope you have a magical day, enjoying gorgeous weather, sunshine and fun with family and friends. If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. You've got a friend in us!
Thinking of the Happiest Things!
