Cheers Zoe! Thanks for swimming by planDisney.
As one of the physicians on the panel, I had to grab your question. I appreciate that you are trying to keep yourself healthy by protecting yourself from the sun. The UV rays are stronger here in Florida since we're closer to the equator than where you live, so make sure you come prepared with sunscreen, hats, and even an umbrella.
You should be fine at
the water park attractions if your swim hat attaches tightly to your head (like a swim or modesty cap). But, with anything that could come off, is loose, or has dangling strings that could catch and
threaten your safety, the Cast Members manning the slides will have you remove it for your safety.
Zoe, when we visit the beach or a water park, I ensure I have a shaded place to relax while the kids go wild! Consider renting a cabana or
umbrella during your visit.
Blizzard Beach has Polar Patios that accommodate up to 10 guests on a shaded deck with amenities, while both of the Parks have umbrellas with lounge chairs available to rent.
Typhoon Lagoon has
Beachcomber Shacks that hold up to 12 guests and come with amenities, including an attendant who can grab you a frosty drink to go with the shade!
I wish you a splashtastic vacation!
