The Silhouettes and Portrait Galleries are typically set up on Main Street, USA, and in Liberty Square in
Magic Kingdom. I've also seen one near the
Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs, so you have a few options to have your silhouette captured on paper. These custom-made pieces of art remind me of a simpler time, and they make a classic keepsake of your visit.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said the artists usually accept credit/debit cards, as well as cash. But since third-party vendors often run these booths, they may not be able to scan your
MagicBand, even if it's tied to a Disney Resort Hotel stay. You can certainly ask, but I recommend having a backup payment method on hand.
And that's so thoughtful of you to ask about tips! Many Cast Members typically
cannot accept tips, but you can always ask first. I'm sure they'll appreciate the offer, even if they can't accept. I'd also like to share another fun way you can highlight an exceptional experience with any Cast Member.
Most Disney Cast Members treasure
Cast Compliments. You can submit these in your
My Disney Experience mobile app by tapping the three lines in the bottom right corner, and then scrolling down to "Cast Compliments" near the bottom. Follow the prompts to make someone's day! My tip is to sneak a peek at their name tag so you can add their name and hometown to the compliment.
