Stephanie from MA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Are therw any Animal Kingdom or Epcot experiences available for the week of 12/18-12/22. We were hoping to do a few educational tours with the family but they seem to be booked.

    Hi there, Stephanie!

Thanks for bringing us another question. I'm so excited your visit is just a few days away. All that planning and patience will be worth it as you're enjoying a vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth during one of the most magical times of year!

It sounds like you're thinking about adding some Enchanting Extras Collection experiences to your visit. I try to reserve one on each vacation and always enjoy learning and getting a little peak at the backstage magic. These experiences are available to book 60 days in advance and many book up quickly, so that may be why you aren't seeing availability for your dates. I'd recommend checking up until your arrival as guest plans change all the time. You may see openings become available if another guest cancels so don't give up!

If you're heading to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park I'd recommend Caring for Giants. Not only will you get to watch majestic elephants from a backstage viewing area, but you'll learn so much from your knowledgeable tour guide. My daughter and I began our day with this 60-minute tour last year and just loved the whole experience. It's also very reasonably priced and won't take too much time away from the rest of your park adventures. If you can't reserve this prior to your arrival you can inquire about same-day availability at the Curiosity Animal Tours kiosk near the entrance to Kilimanjaro Safaris. I can't guarantee they will be able to accommodate your group but it never hurts to ask!

At EPCOT, I'd recommend Behind the Seeds which will bring you backstage at Living with the Land. My husband and I experienced this in September and loved seeing the greenhouse operations from a unique perspective. We also had the opportunity to sample a vegetable, feed the fish and wave hello to the guests gliding past on the boats. If you aren't able to secure a tour I'd still recommend visiting since the attraction will be decked out in shimmering lights. It's so beautiful!

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you today, but I'd definitely recommend you keep checking as your travel dates approach. I'll cross my fingers that an experience becomes available for your group. If not, there is still plenty of magic and education to enjoy on your own. We love chatting with Cast Members in all the parks but I find that Cast Members at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and EPCOT always have some extra magic and fun facts to share. Don't be afraid to interact and ask questions as you explore!

    Wishing you magic and memories,
    Amy
