Thank you for your response! Are the water parks open year round? Thanks in advance.

    Welcome back, Suzette!

You’ve made my day by revisiting me here on planDisney. You’re going to make a splash at the Disney Water Parks this year, but first, let’s talk about when you can do that. Spoiler alert: I have great news ahead.

Historically speaking, the Disney Water Parks (between the alternating Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach) are open 365 days a year! As you know, it’s usually never too cold for a pool or beach day in Florida, so the access is all year round.

Now, of course, there is a caveat. If inclement weather is forecasted, such as a terrible storm or a rare freeze, the operating water park will close to prioritize Guests’ safety. But other than that, you can bet on being able to take on Summit Plummet or Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.

By the way, my own renewal window is coming up soon, and I’m seriously considering adding the Water Park and Sports Option this year. Should I take the plunge? Give me a holler here at planDisney if you have more questions about how to make the most of your Walt Disney World annual pass.

    Magic always,
