    Hello - how can I tell if the My Disney App is the latest version?

    Greetings, Susan, and thank you for bringing this electrifying question to planDisney! You arrive at Walt Disney World Resort in just a couple of sleeps, so let's look at using technology to make your trip even more magical.

    The My Disney Experience App puts planning at your fingertips, Susan. You can check attraction wait times, schedule dining reservations, book Lightning Lane passes, and more. Your phone becomes your tour guide!

    You're correct that having the latest version of the app is critical. I visited with my friend TJ earlier this year, and she couldn't join a virtual queue no matter what she tried. Her tech-savvy daughter quickly updated her mobile app, and they were entering the Grid for TRON Lightcycle / Run in no time!

    You can see the app's current version by visiting your mobile device's app store and searching for "My Disney Experience." Once you tap to learn more about the app, you'll see the current version and history. The version I see now in the iPad App Store is 8.1. Let's find out which version I'm using!

    Once I open my mobile app, I tap the three lines at the bottom right. Next, I scroll down to the "Help & Feedback" section and select "Help." Near the bottom, I can choose "About this App" to see that I'm using version 7.36. It looks like I need to update my app as soon as possible!

    When I looked at the app in the App Store, I also noticed an "Update" button, which typically means the app needs to be updated; that might be the most direct way to see if you have the latest version.

    I also suggest using the Chat feature in your mobile app, located in the "Help & Feedback" section. A friendly Cast Member can walk you through updating your app. Many of my friends in the UK often use mobile chat for assistance; they also say that the app usually works best once in the United States.
