Hi there, Pam!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing your question to us! I'm glad that you've decided to join other MagicBand+ users like myself! When I heard the news that
MagicBand+ was coming to the Disneyland Resort, I knew that I had to give it a try. I had been envious of our Walt Disney World cousins and was thrilled to learn that they would work on both coasts.
I've had a chance to troubleshoot with my MagicBand+ since I first got one. I see that you are using the
Disneyland Mobile App to try and change the settings on your MagicBand+. From the Home Screen, select the ☰ Features Menu and click on MagicBand+. You should see all your registered Bands on the next screen. Make sure your MagicBand+ is charged and linked to your phone. If you click on your name or the ticket icon, it will take you to the Assign Admission screen, which you have already seen. In order to get to the Manage MagicBand+ menu and settings, simply click on the picture of the MagicBand+ itself on the left. From here, you may change the Light Up Theme color, toggle Vibration and Band Light, Reduce Brightness, and Increase Gesture Recognition.
Have you seen all the various bands available on
shopdisney.com? I especially love the designs made specifically for the
Disney100 Celebration. For the Celebration, they've added some
interactive statues and medallions throughout the Parks. If you've been watching The Mandalorian and fancy some bounty hunting yourself, head on over to Galaxy's Edge and try your hand at Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. I have a great time with this game and I've written up a little
tutorial.
I hope that was helpful for you, Pam, and that you have a fantastic visit to the Disneyland Resort soon! If there is anything else that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask! We're here to help!
Have a Magical Day!
