Hi there, Emily! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
It sounds like we have little ones who are almost the same age! My little guy will also be turning three in October! I love that you're squeezing in one last trip with your daughter before she turns three! It certainly helps you save money for your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation since right now she's considered a "Guest of Mickey" and does not require a
Theme Park Ticket or Theme Park Reservation. To me, there's nothing better than watching my toddler's eyes light up at the sight of his favorite character pals or at the fireworks in the evenings. It's just such a magical age to bring children to the Resort.
Even though you'll be celebrating your daughter's birthday, she, unfortunately, does need to be between the ages of three and twelve to make an appointment and have a pixie-dusted transformation at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. While this is definitely a special experience, I think there are so many other ways that she can happily celebrate, and you can save this special occasion for another trip in the future!
As a mom of a little one the same age I definitely understand that you want to give her the world, but I also understand that sitting still for her transformation might be tough at this age. I bet she'd rather be off sailing on
"it's a small world" or bumbling around in a Hunny Pot with Winnie the Pooh!
A great alternative might be to purchase a dress from
shopDisney.com before you leave home and surprise her with it once you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Once you're in the Parks you could also let her choose her own Princess dress at the
Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. or other merchandise locations. Once she's dressed and ready I bet dining in Cinderella Castle at
Cinderella's Royal Table might be just what she needs to really feel like the Princess she is dressed up as.
Make sure to stop by the Front Desk of your Resort or any Guest Relations location to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your little princess!
