Hi there, Curtis! Thanks for reaching out to planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have such a magical trip planned with your grandkids this week!
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of visiting Walt Disney World with my grandparents, so I can only imagine how special this trip will be for all of you. I know the memories you make will be just as precious to you as they will be to your grandkids!
Regarding your question about
managing the grandchildren’s My Disney Experience profiles: when a child’s profile is created, the original profile manager typically remains the only person who can make changes, set permissions, and approve connections. Transferring that management can sometimes be tricky. In my experience, when I had to transfer my nieces’ profiles to my sister's account, we called the Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-7765. The Cast Member walked us through creating, transferring, and merging the profiles. You can also visit the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel once you arrive, and the Cast Members there can assist.
One tip I always share with grandparents is to consider purchasing
Memory Maker. It ensures you’re in the photos with the entire family instead of behind the camera since those are the memories you’ll want to look back on as the kids grow! And since you’re visiting during Valentine’s Day season, keep an eye out for fun
Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots featuring hearts and balloons, available in the parks now through February 18. If you’re looking for something extra special, you might also consider a
Capture Your Moment photo session, which is a 20-minute, personalized photo shoot that will preserve your trip memories forever.
Wishing you a magical trip full of special moments! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out. Have a wonderful time, and see ya real soon!
