Ho-ho-ho, Chad!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your jolly question! Very Merrytime Cruises are my favorite and celebrating Christmas aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel sounds like a dream come true. While there might be some special surprises in store for you, I can share a few highlights to look forward to:
- On Christmas Day the three Rotational Dining rooms will feature a traditional holiday feast, so be prepared to enjoy some seasonal favorites. Some Guests dress in their holiday finest, so feel free to pack your festive attire.
- On Christmas Eve the one and only jolly old St. Nick will visit the ship. Have that last-minute Christmas wish list ready! There will also be special cookies served to Guests (and I assume Santa will take some to go for his big night!).
- Guests of all ages are invited to join the Crew for a special caroling event in the Grand Lobby. If you don't fancy yourself a singer you still can enjoy the event.
- In your stateroom, you might find some special holiday-themed towel animals awaiting you during your very merry sailing, too.
My
planDisney pal, Prince, has spent some time sailing with Disney Cruise Line during the holidays and he shared that some Guests enjoy opening their gifts in front of the gorgeous lobby Christmas tree in their pajamas. Guests may bring wrapped gifts onboard, but be aware that Security may require gifts to be unwrapped if they appear to be suspicious. One thing to keep in mind, religious services are typically not offered.
Once you board the ship, check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for more details about the special events during your sailing. You never know what surprises are in store!
I hope you have the merriest Christmas Chad. Let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
