Ahoy there Emmanuel, and welcome back to planDisney once again!
When you
previously asked about your upcoming voyage as the first time you'll be embarking on a Disney Cruise Line adventure, from the arrival date that you indicated I thought you were heading on the Disney Wonder on December 24, 2023; however it's wonderful that you'll instead be boarding the
Disney Wish on December 22 for your
4-Night Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral!
Rest assured, you still shouldn't miss out on the celebrations that begin from the moment you sail away and glide along the glassy seas of the Bahamas - a much calmer experience in general compared to the waters around Australia! The
Very Merrytime Cruises are often full of
themed happenings and festive fun that include an all-new holiday-themed deck party as well as a special tree lighting ceremony where you just might see some famous folks who have come to visit from the North Pole. In my personal experience across my years sailing the seas over the holidays, Santa Claus tends to stick around to meet and greet with guests on Christmas morning with some special surprises in store for those sailing on such a momentous occasion.
In previous years, both Catholic Mass and Interdenominational services have taken place on board for guests and crew alike to attend early in the morning in the
Walt Disney Theatre if this is a tradition that you uphold. (This is however subject to availability and can never be guaranteed, depending on whether a celebrant is available for these cruises.) At the current time there has been no official information released as to what will happen specifically on Christmas Day on board the Disney Wish, and like any good Christmas present - it's very likely to be kept secret until then and I wish I was able to share with you what's in store for your sailing. Your best bet is to have your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App handy as you embark so that you may take a peek at what's ahead for that very special final day at sea before you disembark.
Another personal recommendation of mine would be to pay a visit to the glimmering tree in the
Grand Hall on Christmas Eve; some folks and families head down after midnight or even in the earliest hours of the day to unwrap presents in their pyjamas which makes for a very fun memory and photo opportunity before all of the hustle and bustle later in the morning. Be sure to
keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in case any new updates pop up before your voyage, and we hope to see you back at planDisney again soon Emmanuel!
Here's to all the Holiday fun on the High Seas!
