Do the tables on the Murphy bed tables fold up too so there is more floor space?

    Danielle,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

The Murphy Bed/Table contraptions that Walt Disney World has rolled out to so many of their different resorts has been a game changer for families who need a bit more room to roam before bedtime, as well as in those crucial "let's get ready for the parks!" mornings!

Unfortunately no, when a Murphy Bed is raised to the wall to be replaced by the table, there is no way to further elevate the table. It is squarely bound to the ground. While this may not be the answer you were seeking, please know that the table that you are left with is not always a full, 4-person dining table, but is manageably smaller. In some cases, they even only equip the table with two chairs.

For a family staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in the family suites, the tables are perfectly sized to get the kids seated and out of the way, either having a quick breakfast, reading books, doing some coloring, or playing on their iPads. This frees up space for my wife and me to get the final preparations completed before heading to our day in the magic. When I travel solo and stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, it is perfectly sized as a work desk.

    BONUS TIP
Some of the new 'Murphy Bed' creations at Disney include beds that fold down from a standard couch, like at Disney's Riviera Resort, serving as the only bed in the room for smaller parties of 1 or 2!

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
