    When does housekeeping come?

    Hi Dianne,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question; we are glad to see you here! I’m excited to see that your magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort is underway, so let’s answer your question!

Among the many benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is the magical housekeeping service, or as I like to call it, “Mousekeeping.” The Housekeeping Cast Members are a magical crew and do a fabulous job of keeping Guest rooms neat and tidy and often leave extra pixie dust for Guests. My planDisney pals Amy A. and Matt shared a few of their favorite things about Disney Housekeeping in a Disney Parks Blog article announcing the return of regular housekeeping services to Disney Resort hotels.

During your stay, you can expect regular housekeeping service. If you stay at Disney Moderate and Disney Value Resorts, you will receive housekeeping service every other day. Rooms at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas will receive daily full housekeeping service. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member using Points or Member Cash Discount, you will receive trash and towel service on the fourth day of your visit. If you are staying more than 8 nights, you will receive full cleaning service on the fourth day of your visit and trash and towel service on the eighth day of your visit.

Now, the time of day you can expect housekeeping service depends on a variety of factors, but typically housekeeping occurs from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. If you require housekeeping services at other times, simply call “Housekeeping” on your room phone. If you would prefer not to have housekeeping at any point, remember to place the “Room Occupied” hanger on your door, but know that, if needed, Disney Resort hotel Cast Members may enter your room for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose, even if the Room Occupied sign is displayed on the room door.

Dianne, since you are a Guest at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I hope you take advantage of Early Entry each morning. I love being able to board an attraction or two before other Guests arrive. This extra time in the parks is worth an early wake-up call. Speaking of which, did you know you can request a wake-up call from perky Characters during your visit? It’s yet another way to create some magic during your stay!

I hope this information is helpful and that your stay is everything you dreamed it would be. We would love to see you back at planDisney if you have other questions or need pixie-dusted tips!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
