Hey there! Hi there! Michele, like you, I am glued to the television with the news on the latest hurricane. My family is headed down in a week, just after the storm is projected to hit Florida. After being at
Walt Disney World Resort during Matthew, one hurricane was enough for us.
If a
hurricane warning is issued for Orlando or your home within seven days of your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort, you can
reschedule or cancel most Disney vacation packages or resort-only reservations without cancellation fees. In most cases, you can do this online by modifying your reservation. Just go to
My Plans, select "Change Reservation," and follow the prompts to choose new dates and book your new vacation. Hopefully, you can get your new trip
Bibbidi Bobbidi Booked quickly.
Disney advises that if you have additional questions, cannot reschedule online or need additional assistance rescheduling due to a hurricane, you can call (407) 939-7675. Call volumes are unusually high during these events, so I would try online first.
I am wishing upon every star in the sky that you are able to reschedule your trip and that it is nothing but clear skies. When you do, you know you have a friend in
planDisney. We're happy to help with your vacation planning (and re-planning) questions.
Stay safe and Hakuna Matata!
