Can you suggest where we can have a meal and watch the fireworks at magic kingdom,we have look at the dessert party but it is not good for my family due to diabetes for me and my daughter

Hey, June! Thank you for coming to planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question!

Happily Ever After is a fantastic display of fireworks, lights, and projections on Cinderella Castle. It features some of the best Disney songs for you to sing along to and is an amazing show to experience with your family. It will be a core memory of your visit!

While enjoying Happily Ever After inside the Magic Kingdom is something you should check off your bucket list, I wouldn’t recommend a restaurant where you could eat and enjoy the complete show experience. I’d suggest you eat somewhere like Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen or The Crystal Palace before and then find a good view of the front of the castle. If you are set on dining while watching the show, I am going to recommend you dine at one of the Disney Resorts (Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) located around the monorail. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy a delicious meal and watch Happily Ever After from all three resorts, and seeing the show over Seven Seas Lagoon with the music playing is nothing short of...magical.

The California Grill, located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary, has impressive panoramic views of the water and Magic Kingdom. As the show begins, the lights dim, and the music is piped into the dining room. You can even step outside on the balcony to enjoy the show if you'd like.

Over at the Polynesian, you can enjoy a Hawaiian-inspired meal at ‘Ohana, Asian-inspired dishes at Kona Café, or grab something quick at Capt. Cook’s, and then enjoy the fireworks from the beach. Your feet in the sand, surrounded by tiki torches, having the music from the show playing, and viewing the fireworks over the water is remarkable. Words can’t do the experience justice!

Lastly, you could head to the Grand Floridian and dine at Narcoossee’s. This waterfront restaurant has fantastic cocktails and food, dims the lights and pipes in the music like California Grill, and allows Guests to get out of their seats and enjoy the show from the dock surrounding the restaurant. Some of my planDisney friends and I just experienced this recently, and it was so great that I plan on booking it for my family on our next trip!

If you have any additional questions, June, or would like more recommendations, please submit me a question. As someone who has to be picky about dining locations due to an allergy in our family, you can rest assured that the Cast Members and Chefs will do whatever they can to make you feel safe and at home!

    Cheers,
    Brent
