Can I have Stuffies delivered to my room and set up for the children prior to check in as a surprise and if so how do i do that? we are staying at a disney resort.

Hello there, Tricia, and thanks so much for allowing planDisney to help with your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit! As someone who is delighted by surprises, I love your plan to sprinkle some pixie dust for your kiddos. Let's look at options to make the magic happen!

Your best bet for an in-room surprise is to check out Magical Floral & Gifts. This company is a preferred Disney partner and is the only one that can deliver items to your resort's Front Desk.

They typically have Mickey and Minnie plushies, but you can follow the link on the Walt Disney World website to shop their current offerings. You'll place your order and specify a delivery date. The friendly folks at Magical Floral & Gifts will transport your precious cargo to the Front Desk.

One option is to pick up the items from the lobby yourself, maybe while someone else keeps the children occupied. You could arrange the stuffies around your room for a fun treat when everyone returns!

Most Disney Resort Hotels will also deliver items to your room, even while you're away. You would arrange delivery with the Front Desk to have the goodies brought to your room while you're out. Just be sure not to have the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door, and keep in mind that some resorts charge a delivery fee.

I chatted with Magical Floral & Gifts, and they said Disney's Riviera Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort do not deliver to guest rooms at this time. While you can place your order online, I recommend calling to double-check delivery options.

My husband secretly brought along some streamers and balloons and decorated our room while I was grabbing breakfast at our resort on my birthday. There may or may not have been happy tears when I opened the door and saw what he'd done! So you can always bring along your own surprises for your little ones.

Tricia, I hope you celebrate BIG on your upcoming trip. Please stop by planDisney anytime; we try to "deliver" the best tips!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
