Anchors aweigh, Caroline!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your great question. You are a person after my own heart since it looks like you are planning ahead. I'm my opinion, it is never too early to plan your
Disney Land & Sea vacation!
Taking
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation from Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral to board your cruise is a great idea. It simplifies the process and creates a seamless vacation for you and your crew. Booking Disney Cruise Line transportation does not mean you receive "priority" boarding, but it does mean that your Port Arrival Time will be automatically assigned based on your anticipated arrival time at the port. In my experience, this often means that you will have a relatively early boarding time since the transportation typically departs Walt Disney World around 9:30 a.m. or so. This timing depends on the number of Guests utilizing the service, where you are staying and how many stops the shuttle makes before departing Walt Disney World.
Caroline, if you decide to book transportation through Disney Cruise Line, remember that space is limited. You have plenty of time before your sail date, so no worries now.
Did you know that you can make many of your cruise plans on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app? It is a handy way to keep track of your plans and to make new ones. Be sure to download it now and link your reservation so you can enjoy the Character-filled countdown to your vacation!
I hope this information is helpful, Caroline. Please let us know if you have other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
