Hi Stephen, welcome to planDisney!
Having rented a car a few times in Florida, we have experience bringing along our own car seats and hiring them through the car rental company for a small additional cost, and both options have worked out fine. Please ensure the car rental company is aware that you would like to borrow a car seat ahead of time to ensure availability. As a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you'll benefit from free parking at
Disney's All Stars Music Resort and the Theme Parks, so you may find yourself using your car seat more than once. Access to your own car provides the ultimate flexibility for your Walt Disney World adventure.
You may like to know that the
Minnie Van has two car seats supplied for shorter journeys within Walt Disney World. Perfect for an impromptu voyage with little ones.
Florida car safety law does differ from that of the UK as children aged six and over, who are four feet nine inches tall, can use a booster seat. Some handy travel booster seats are available that don't take up much space. These are a great option if you are not planning on hiring a car for your entire stay but want a safety option for taxi journeys offsite.
Our seven-year-old absolutely loved
TRON Lightcycle / Run on our last visit. Be sure to get a
Virtual Queue on the morning of your visit if you think your little Mouseketeer would enjoy it too!
I hope this information helps, Stephen. Please pop back if you need anything further! Have a magical time at Walt Disney World, Louise.
