Hello there Chris! Welcome to planDisney, I'm always happy to chat about vacation planning with a fellow Canadian.
Parking can be a key piece of the travel puzzle so let's get to it.
Navigating the
Walt Disney World Resort can be done by way of vehicle, bus,
monorail,
water transportation,
Disney Skyliner; these are just a few of the available options and each type has its positives. My family likes to use a combination of these modes of transportation depending on where we are staying and which theme park we are heading to. Guests of
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels receive complimentary standard self-parking at theme parks. If a Resort Guest would like to instead choose preferred parking (these are the first few rows closest to the main entrance gates in each parking lot), they can notify the Cast Member at the Theme Park Auto Plaza about an upgrade and they will be charged the difference in cost between the standard parking and preferred parking.
Tip: If you're driving a personal or rental vehicle on Walt Disney World Resort Property, be sure to use the
Car Locator feature in the My Disney Experience Mobile app. It allows you to easily save your parked vehicle's information which helps for a quicker exit at the end of a long day at the theme parks.
I hope this helps, Chris! Please feel free to visit us again at
planDisney if you think of any other vacation planning questions.
See ya real soon,
Candace
